Overview:
The Sales Support Associate is a key role responsible for supporting the Inside Sales team. They will assist the team to allow their focus to be on maximizing sales objectives and developing and maintaining customer relations with key contacts. The Sales Support Associate will collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Office Operations, and other departments to ensure the Inside Sales team is operating compliantly and efficiently. In addition, this person will document vacant/open roles (Sales, Admin, etc.) as needed.
Responsibilities:
Keep vacant territories (send collateral, set/hold lunches, submit expenses, etc.) running.
Manage projects within the organization.
Assist the Field Sales team and leadership as needed
Assist the Executive leadership team as needed
Packages and mails promotional product samples and other related materials and information to customers and prospective clients, based on instruction from the Inside Sales team.
Assists in the planning and development of agendas, budgets, and services for sales-led events and conferences.
Reviews and aids in reconciling expenses associated with the Inside Sales Team for accuracy and budget.
Leveraging email lists for marketing purposes to expand and standardize communication.
Assists with maintaining customer files with sales contracts and other information.
May coordinate with various departments regarding order status, shipping dates, prices, product availability and back orders.
Supports with the coordination of training of new Inside Sales Team employees.
Keeps up-to-date knowledge of our products and the industry, to partner with the sales teams and enhance awareness in the targeted business community of the company.
Performs other duties and ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
1-2 years of experience in a professional, fast paced environment
Some administrative support experience required
Highly proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Competencies: Customer Service focus, Attention to Detail, Highly Organized, Strong Interpersonal skills, Team Player, Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills, Time Management skills
Working Conditions
Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations. Periodic overnight travel.
