Senior Civil Engineer - Public Works
Job Summary: We have a full-time opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer - Public Works for our Denver office. The candidate will have at least 10+ years’ experience and will be a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Colorado with Public Works projects. Duties include but not limited to, initial project research, plan production and management of plan production staff, plan processing and management of plan processing efforts, construction administration and project close out efforts.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
Duties/Responsibilities:
Function as a Lead Civil Engineer within Public Works practices
Prepare preliminary engineering reports.
Research jurisdictional requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings
Prepare of proposal/contract and of project work plans and schedule
Prepare design and construction drawings using AutoCAD and information obtained from research activities
Coordinate client management and marketing efforts for future work.
Prepare GIS exhibits using ArcGIS
Conduct site visits and documents findings
Work directly with clients and directing a staff with varied levels of experience and expertise
Attend, record, and distribute meeting minutes and assist with general project correspondence
Writes or prepares graphic materials for presentations or documents
Managing staff in the following duties of hydrology and hydraulic, flood analysis, stormwater treatment, managing clients
Initiate and lead kickoff calls or high-level design calls with client in addition to preparing monthly forecasting and client cost estimates when appropriate Qualifications:
BS Degree in Civil Engineering
Must be a licensed PE in Colorado with a minimum of 10+ years of experience
Experience with producing accurate and complete construction plans and reports
Ability to work independently in a team environment and to manage multiple projects with limited supervision
Must be able to work directly with clients and directing a staff with varied levels of experience and expertise.
Excellent verbal and written skills, communicating engineering information clearly and concisely
Ability to train staff and review work for quality assurance
Solid leadership and management skills, self-motivated, and possess a strong ability to meet deadlines, satisfy clients, and solve complex problems
Knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil3D are all a plus
Highly organized and detail oriented
Willingness/ability to assume increased responsibilities when presented
Consistently deliver proactive communication with clients. When client issues arise, address or expeditiously escalate to discipline lead
Develop relationships with clients that allows for ease in communications and problem solving
Troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions, effectively implement and document for internal and external stakeholders Competencies:

The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities Annual Base Salary Range: $100K - $180K depending on experience and qualifications of the selected candidate(s). The expected salary range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation is based on the success candidate's individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and consideration to participate in our discretionary annual bonus incentive program.
