Responsible for the efficient management of assigned operations to meet present and future goals for Safety, Customer Service, Inventory Turns, Shipment dollars, Productivity savings, Employee Relations, and Continuous Improvement through the implementation of Lean Processes. The Operations Manager will do this by building a team of supervisors that are dedicated to meeting the annual goals for the plant. Supervise 1 to 4 Value Stream and Center of Excellence Supervisors.
Responsibilities
Direct and guide the production of operations
Provide Cross-functional leadership for the entire team (operations, planning, quality, manufacturing engineering, etc).
Foster a positive relationship and open communication between Design Engineering, Product Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering by promoting teamwork with common operational objectives.
Responsible for developing general operating plans and manufacturing policy
Complete budget responsibility for operations
Lead Safety efforts to include administering safety procedures, safety inspections, safety training, safety awareness and maintenance of records.
Responsible for overtime planning and manpower requirements
Resolve safety, production, quality, scrap, incentive and maintenance problems by communicating with subordinates, supervisors, and support functions.
Implement Lean Manufacturing throughout areas of responsibility to improve factory velocity and customer lead-time
Continuously improve customer service levels
Meet annual operating plan objectives for shipment dollars, productivity savings, inventory turns, customer service targets, quality, absorption/spending and Lean Transformation.
Support all applicable New Product Development Projects (NPDP) projects and Engineering Change Requests.
Responsible for Inventory levels,.
Establish cross training and development plans for direct reports by supporting the levels program.
Qualifications
Education:
4 year degree desired and or at least 10 years of operations/manufacturing/materials management required
Experience:
Supervisory experience in a manufacturing organization required
Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience implementing Lean manufacturing principles
Green or Black Belt Certified preferred.
Strong understanding of Financial Accounting for a manufacturing environment is very important.
Excellent communication skills written and verbal.

Compensation: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 annual salary based on experience
