Job Description

Are you a compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of elderly clients? Look no further! We are actively seeking CNAs to provide safe and compassionate care to our clients in and around the New Orleans, LA area. At our core, we are committed to ensuring our elderly clients receive the care and support they deserve, whether in their homes or facilities. Join us, and you'll enjoy the convenience of a flexible schedule offering a variety of day and night shifts.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a CNA with us, your primary responsibility is to assist clients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This includes tasks such as turning and ambulating patients, delivering food and beverages throughout the day, and helping with personal hygiene, such as bathing and providing bedpans. You'll also provide adjunct patient care as needed, which may involve delivering ice packs, dressings, or baths for therapeutic purposes. Effective communication is key, as you'll collaborate with a team of professionals, including physicians and nurses, and closely monitor and record vital information, such as food intake, urinary and fecal output, to assist our medical and nursing staff.

Requirements and Skills

To thrive in this role, you should possess a High School diploma or GED, along with State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification. Current CPR Certification is essential, along with basic computer skills. A clear background check is required. Independence and the ability to think on your feet while maintaining clear and efficient communication are crucial. Your excellent oral communication skills when interacting with fellow healthcare professionals in the presence of patients will be invaluable. You should also be capable of remaining composed and professional in high-pressure situations within a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Compensation and Benefits

We value your dedication and expertise, and we offer competitive compensation to reflect that. CNAs can expect to earn between $13-14/hour for private clients and $16-19/hour for CNA facility work. For those who work a minimum of 35 hours per week and complete 90 days of employment, health insurance benefits become available.
