Hoyleton Youth and Family Services is looking to hire a full-time Mental Health Therapist for our administrative offices located in Fairview Heights, IL.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST As a Mental Health Therapist, you assist in providing mental health services and advocacy for families both within and outside of the agency.

Using evidence-based practices and a variety of therapeutic approaches, you provide individual and group therapy to children, adults, couples, and families in an office or community setting.

You complete bio-psycho-social assessments and develop treatment goals with the client and their guardian.

As needed, you participate in clinical case staffing and provide crisis intervention.

Collaboratively, you work with other professionals as a part of a care team.

You also collaborate with external agencies and families to coordinate appropriate services that support the client's mental health and overall stability.

You ensure proper billing for self-pay and insured clients.

You participate in utilization reviews (URs) of clinical files and make sure that all insurance and Medicaid requirements are met.

Conscientiously, you keep all documentation in order.

You find providing counseling to youth and families in a constructive environment to be highly rewarding!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or another related human services field Knowledge about evidence-based practices and a variety of treatment modalities used with the population we serve Understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism Ability and willingness to complete the children and residential experiences (CARE) and therapeutic crisis intervention (TCI) training Valid driver's license and proof of insurance A licensed clinical social work (LCSW) or licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
