Job Summary:

As a Regulation Tracking Specialist at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on regulatory changes that impact the automotive industry. Your role will involve staying abreast of all local, national, and international regulations that could affect the company's operations, products, and business strategies. You will act as bridge between Regulation department and testing group to analyze the effect of upcoming regulations upon MSIL portfolio. For the same you will be responsible for collecting, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting data related to vehicular crash [In house crash test data & Road accident data] Your insights will help us understand accident trends, identify potential safety issues, and contribute to the development of safer vehicles

Responsibilities:

. Monitor various sources for updates on regulations related to the automotive industry, including safety, environment, trade, and manufacturing standards.

. Analyse new and existing regulations to determine their impact on the company's operations and products.

. Maintain a comprehensive database of relevant regulations and ensure it is up-to-date and accurate.

. Communicate regulatory changes to relevant departments within the company in a timely manner.

. Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, and other teams to ensure that new regulations are integrated into business practices and product designs.

. Prepare reports and presentations summarizing regulatory changes and their potential impact on the company.

. Assist in the development and implementation of compliance strategies and action plans.

. Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding regulatory compliance issues.

. Participate in industry associations or regulatory committees to represent the company's interests and stay informed of upcoming regulatory trends and discussions.

. Support the training of company personnel on regulatory requirements and compliance procedures.

. Collect and manage vehicular data from various sources.

. Analyse accident data to identify patterns, trends, and common factors contributing to accidents.

. Work closely with the Crash development team to integrate findings into vehicle design and safety features.

. Develop statistical models to predict accident risks and outcomes.

. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on accident analysis findings for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.

. Collaborate with external research organizations and industry partners to enhance accident data collection and analysis methods.

. Contribute to the continuous improvement of data collection tools and analysis techniques.

. Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection regulations when handling sensitive information.

Qualifications:

. Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

. Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in accident data or a related area.

. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

. Proficiency in data analysis software and tools, such as SQL, R, Python, or similar.

. Knowledge of database management and data visualization tools.

. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data reporting.

. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills:

. Experience in the automotive industry or a similar field with a focus on safety analysis.

. Familiarity with vehicle dynamics and crashworthiness principles.

. Knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS) for spatial analysis of accident data.
