Job Summary: THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION.

Tutor Doctor - East Nashville is seeking a compassionate and skilled tutor to work with adult students on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to enhance their executive function skills. This position involves providing tailored support to individuals with ASD to improve their ability to plan, organize, initiate tasks, manage time, and regulate emotions. As an Executive Function Skills Tutor you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with ASD to navigate daily challenges and achieve personal and professional goals.

Responsibilities:

Develop personalized learning plans based on the individual needs and goals of each client.

Implement evidence-based strategies and techniques to improve executive function skills, including but not limited to task analysis, cognitive restructuring, and self-monitoring.

Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in-person or via virtual platforms, ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Collaborate with families to set realistic goals and track progress over time.

Offer guidance and support in areas such as time management, organization, problem-solving, decision-making, and emotional regulation.

Communicate effectively with families, and other support professionals to ensure continuity of care and holistic support.

Keep accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, counseling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Previous experience working with adults with autism spectrum disorder or similar neurodevelopmental conditions.

Strong understanding of executive function skills and strategies to support their development.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with ASD.

Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning styles.

Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or other relevant credentials is a plus.
