Job Description
Matty's Sporthouse Grill is looking for highly motivated individuals who can work in a fast-paced environment to join our experienced team of Line Cooks; both full and part-time position are available. Full time hours @Matty's are 30 hours per week earning Paid Time Off beginning on day 1 of employment, with health insurance benefits available after 60 days of employment.
We are closed all major holidays, including the summer months, we offer an additional $2 per hour for working the following: Mother's Day/Father's Day & Valentines Day.
We offer a employee incentive bonus of an additional $1 per hour, per day per 2 weeks pay period for coming to work on time, as well as an employee meal program-50% off while on duty, 10% off for off duty dining.
We offer flexible scheduling.
Duties of the line cook position include excellence/consistency in food preparation, following food safety protocols, cleanliness and sanitation standards, along with setting up and closing down your station. Responsibilities would also include the following:
Reading a Prep Sheet/ Following Recipes
Cooking on both a Flat Top Grill and Open Flame Gas Grills
Maintaining a Neat, Clean, Organized and Stocked Workstation
Being a Team Player
Maintaining Food Presentation Specifications
Coordinating Cooking/Plating times with other areas of the line
Being Self-Motivated and able to work independently.
Assist with Cleaning and Keeping the Kitchen Organized
Being able to lift up to 50lbs.
Can Work Effectively in a Fast-Paced Environment
Matty's Is open 7 days a week, our current "spring & summer" hours of operations are Sunday thru Thursday 11am-9pm, Friday & Saturday 11am-10pm, our "winter hours" of operation are Sunday thru Thursday 11am-8pm, Friday & Saturday 11am-9pm.
