Description:

The SAS Programmer will be part of a team that improves the quality of care delivered in a variety of settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, nursing homes, ESRD centers, and managed care plans. Your work will include collecting and reviewing data, developing analytic approaches and SAS codes, producing reports and datasets for dashboards, conducting statistical analyses, and summarizing information for clients. You will also be involved in internal and client projects that leverage advanced analytic approaches, including regression analysis, ROI (Return on Investment) measurement predictive modeling, machine learning, and more.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficiency in writing new SAS codes to extract data, transform structure, create data elements and insights using functions or statistical procedures, and produce tabulate reports, graphics, and quality data products.

Experience with standard analytic techniques (e.g., trending, benchmark comparisons, data mining, dashboard creation, statistical analysis).

Experience working with large datasets; experience with healthcare data, a plus.

Ability to communicate complex concepts orally and in writing to technical, leadership, and lay audiences.

Excellent troubleshooting, listening and problem-solving skills.

Advanced SAS certification, preferred.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree, required. Master’s degree, preferred. Degrees in computer science, information systems, engineering, public administration, public policy, public health, or equivalent will be considered.

A minimum of two (2) years of SAS programming experience related to data manipulation and reporting. Knowledge of SAS Macros and PROC SQL required.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. The annualized salary range for this position is $80,000.00 – $100,000.00. Actual salary range and/or hourly rate depends on a variety of factors including experience, education, credentials, location, and budget.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
