Description:

Completion of Motor Fuel Tax & Federal Excise Tax Returns, within the jurisdiction due dates

Transmission of Sales & Use Tax liability data, that supports return preparation, as per agreed calendar due dates

Provide journal entries (which was not part of usual standard JE) if any to tax accounting team

Analyse changes in the (LA) tax rates and update in the system before the last workday of the month and respond to ASK TAX E-Trackers as per guidelines.

Follow-up for unclaimed Liabilities, maintain Aged items and review the same with SME's and ensure they are cleared on time.

Complete Canadian return (Credit & Automotive entities) worksheets as per agreed calendar due dates

Support North America Audits on SUT returns and ensure proper reconciliation of liability in Tax return to General Ledger is issued to Auditors.

Ensure all Re-Acquired Vehicle packages received are verified for completeness and they are filed with Jurisdiction for the refund claims.

Review Capital assets purchased for the month and understand Tax implications and create liability as required.

Regular follow-up with working level Subject Matter Expertise - Clarifications & Status updates

Work with Tax Accounting team and ensure Journals are made on time and payment is made before the due dates

Upload the return filed copy, workpapers, payment request and other supporting documents in OWM

Prepare a quick recon between EY return filed and PSGL

Complete MCRP testing in the role as Tester

Ensure Completion of MCRP testing for SUT Compliance team as needed.

Support GAO & other Internal and External Audits (including audit by Tax Authorities)

Prepare Metrics for Senior management

B,com or M.com or CWA-Inter. Sales & Use Tax or Canada Commodity Tax experience is must.
