Senior Accountant will be responsible for undertaking all daily accounting activities, including preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements and taxation requirements. He or she shall also be responsible for delivering quality and accurate outcomes.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform various GL month-end close activities such as preparation and review of journal entries and preparation of financial statements:
- Perform Bank Reconciliation- Perform Intercompany Reconciliation- Update the Fixed Asset Lapsing- Update the other schedules in the Financial Statements
Preparing financial analysis and reports.
Assisting in the budget preparation and monitoring.
Preparation of Tax Returns.
Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
Evaluate existing process and system infrastructure as well as contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
Performing other accounting duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage
Must have at least 10 years of experience in the General Accounting and Auditing field
Strong understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
High attention to details
Able to work under pressure at times
