We are currently looking for CAD Technicians to join our team in our Tucson location.

General Summary: Assist in the preparation of project deliverables and contract documents in accordance with the company design standards and client requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Under supervision, convert all applicable information into electronically generated drawings and project documents with accuracy, neatness and speed.

Perform horizontal computations for boundary surveys and analyses of field location and record information to determine property lines.

Prepare final as-built plans from survey crew field notes and field measurements of project improvements.

Compute horizontal and vertical positions of proposed improvements such as buildings, streets, curbs, etc. from approved plans for construction stake-out.

Check documents to be recorded for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting for review.

Work with other in-house disciplines for project coordination.

Experience to include a thorough knowledge of ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, residential and commercial construction stakeout procedures, and as-built requirements in Arizona.

Candidates must have the ability to perform a variety of complex computations for traverse, record plats, boundary surveys, construction stake-outs, horizontal/vertical control, etc.

LANGUAGE SKILLS-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS-Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra, trigonometry, plane, and solid geometry. Also, the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education or Formal Training:

High School Diploma or GED

CST or LSIT preferred

Minimum of 5 years survey and/or CAD experience in the land development/land survey industry.

Must be proficient with Civil 3D.
