The Spa at Ascend Fitness and Spa will be opening in May and we are looking for Northern Ohio’s best Nail Technicians. We are hiring for on-call, part-time and full-time team members for each position.

Ascend Fitness and Spa a, 20,000 square foot fitness facility, spa and wellness center combines cutting edge technology, refreshing décor imbued with elements of nature, a sustainability focus, and alternative therapies to create an unrivaled experience unique to the downtown Cleveland market.

Our Nail Technicians will provide professional and courteous services as well as expertly performed manicures, pedicures, and nail treatments, while the client enjoys views of the city landscape during their visit.

Ascend Team Members received company paid parking. You will be provided all necessary implements, e-file and products needed to perform your job to the highest level.

Responsibilities for Nail Technician

Experience working in a spa or salon

0 to 1+ years' experience as a professional, licensed nail technician

Providing high-quality manicures and pedicures, which includes removing old nail polish from fingernails and toenails, cleaning nails, shaping the ends of nails, pushing back cuticles, and applying new polish based on clients’ preferences.

Applying nail enhancements to include acrylics and gel extensions and dips.

Recommending various nail designs and nail art to clients.

Evaluating the condition of clients’ nails and advising them on proper nail care and suitable nail care treatments.

Sanitizing all nail instruments and equipment before each use.

Ensuring that workstations are kept clean and orderly.

Ensuring that nail and massage supplies are adequately stocked.

Providing quality hand and foot massages.

Nail Technician Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

State manicurist/cosmetologist license.

Proven experience working as a nail technician.

In-depth knowledge of manicure and pedicure techniques.

Experience with nail enhancements, extensions, acrylics and gel extensions preferred

The ability to concentrate for extended periods of time.

Detail-orientated and patient.

Excellent hand-eye coordination.

Exceptional customer service skills.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Exceptional computer skills

Great interpersonal skills
