Job Description
The Assistant Operations Manager will report directly to the Operations Manager and shall oversee airport parking and staffing operations. In the absence of the Operations Manager, the Assistant Operations Manager shall be vested with full authority to act on behalf of the Operations Manager and Interflight Parking. The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for enforcing the policies and procedures promulgated by Interflight Parking and direct management control and knowledge of all aspects of the parking operation and reports directly to the Operations Manager. The Operations Manager is on-call 24 hours per day to respond to critical operational issues or emergencies.
Responsibilities:
Hold team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as needed
Delegate tasks and projects and provide follow-up action
Ensure business quality standards are met
Develop and implement best practices to maximize team efficiency
Monthly reporting & record keeping
Providing inter-departmental support
Compliance with company rules, policies, and standard operating procedures
Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
Operations and Management experience
Ability to listen and communicate effectively
High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, and prioritize
Valid Driver's License & Clean driving record
Competency in MS Office, databases
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
Physical Requirements:
Sit and/or stand for long periods of time (up to six hours, less break).
Ability to work in weather conditions.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Required to assist with snow removal.
Bend, kneel and turn in order to perform daily tasks
Maintain a professional attitude and image
Willingness to learn, and perform a variety of tasks in order to meet operational needs
