NikSoft is currently conducting a search for an Export Administration Support Assistant in support of the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) to assist in administering the Section 232 Export Administration Program. The full-time employee must have an active Secret clearance (or higher).

Responsibilities:

The Export Administration Support Assistant must be detail-oriented, energetic, flexible, process-focused, adaptable to changing requirements, and an excellent multi-tasker. The assistant must also have experience manipulating and analyzing large datasets, particularly in Microsoft Access or Excel. The SME must be an excellent verbal and written communicator able to clearly articulate in writing policy recommendations and their technical rationale. The candidate must ensure that products meet requirements, be adept at quality assurance, and be capable of delivering products on time.

The Export Administration Support Assistant will provide support for the following Export Administration areas:

Support for technology evaluation analysis

Target and identify potential emerging and foundational technologies

Literature review (news clips), technical conferences and publications

Support administrative functions as assigned by the Export Admin office, including front-office desk support.

Work with BIS office of technology evaluation, regulatory office, to draft NOIs for Interagency Sprint Groups' comments and inputs

Help to publish Notice of Inquiries (NOIs) for public comments

Help draft control proposals for interagency Sprint Groups review, for Multilateral Regime(s) or for unilateral consideration Support for industrial studies and compliance

Support the development of solution architecture, data architecture, project management, strategic planning, customer engagement, and knowledge management.

Support Export Administration's Microsoft SharePoint and Team sites

Qualifications:

Must be a U.S. citizen in possession of Secret or higher clearance.

Experience in working independently with minimal guidance and exercising mature judgment

Experience with prioritizing the workload effectively to meet deadlines and work objectives

Experience with requirements and process documentation

Experience in a customer service-oriented environment

Experience in a process-oriented environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience determining/developing metrics that measure productivity of various aspects of team performance

Experience using Microsoft Office suite - strong emphasis on Excel skills

Ability to work in high-pressure situations

Reporting and data visualization skills

Ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience

Ability to comprehend and document business requirements, functional requirements, and system touchpoints, including management-driven requirements, reporting and dashboard requirements, and workflow requirements for business processes

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

1-3 years of relevant experience

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Federal or DOD experience, including experience working as a non-commissioned officer (NCO).

Microsoft SharePoint

This position requires on-site support for a Federal client in Washington, DC in support of policies and programs of the Federal Agency. Work is currently conducted on-site in Washington, D.C.
