We are seeking an experienced RPG Programmer with specialized expertise in System/36 environments to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical skills, including a deep understanding of the System/36 platform, to support, maintain, and evolve our legacy systems to the new RPG Free Format. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation and enhancement of our critical business applications, ensuring they continue to meet the evolving needs of our clients.Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain applications in RPG II, RPG III, or RPG 400 on the System/36 and AS/400 platforms.

Migrate, update, and maintain System/36 applications to ensure they meet current business needs and technology standards.

Analyze and understand business processes to integrate System/36 applications with RPG Free Format platforms.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the System/36 environment, ensuring high levels of system availability and reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and implement application enhancements and upgrades.

Provide technical support and training to users and team members on System/36 applications and environments.

Document system modifications and upgrades, maintaining a clear record of system changes and developments.Requirements:

Proven experience in programming and maintaining applications on the System/36 platform.

Proficient in RPG II, RPG III, RPG 400 programming languages, and a solid understanding of the System/36 operating environment.

Experience with migrating System/36 applications to modern platforms is highly desirable.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and adapt legacy systems to meet current and future needs.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
