As a key member of Coining MFG management, you will lead the quality team in supporting the manufacturing of critical metal stamped and machined components serving the Aerospace, Defense, Communications, Semiconductor and Medical industries. You will also be responsible for ensuring continued compliance to ISO, customer quality requirements, and future complacency endeavors. Requirements:

Manage and supervise the quality department.

Delegate work effectively ensuring inspection is performed correctly at all stages of production.

Review inspector performance on a consistent basis

Efficiently schedule employee vacation and overtime

Create full inspection plans for production utilizing specific industry knowledge. i.e., First Piece Inspection, In-Process, FAI.

Measure and act on quality KPI’s such as process variation, internal and external reject rate, time to inspect, etc.

Plan and drive audits to meet compliance of regulatory standards such as ISO, TS, and AS.

Act as the management representative during registrar and customer audits.

Initiate, track, and act on internal and external corrective actions.

Oversee & continuously improve Coining MFG’s quality management system (QMS).

Lead the quality system managers (QSM) ensuring up-to-date training in ISO9001, and other regulatory standards as required.

Track and communicate reoccurring internal quality issues to the respective process owners such as engineering and/or production.

Assist in program launch (NPI), process qualification and equipment validation.

Manage equipment calibration systems and records.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications (Required):

8-12 years of quality management experience.

Supervising quality personnel in the performance of their job duties.

Maintaining/improving upon the existing ISO 9001 quality system including acting as the management representative during registrar and customer audits.

Participate in NPI team activities including leading communication with customer quality representatives to ensure smooth product launches.

Resolve customer complaints timely and with a focus on effective interim and permanent corrective actions.

Maintaining compliance with aerospace (AS9100), automotive (TS16949), defense, and/or medical (ISO13485)

Experience creating and submitting PPAPs to customers.

4 years’ Experience with Excel and/or other quality related software i.e., Minitab.

Education: Bachelor of Science.

U.S. Citizen or permanent resident (green card holder)

Qualifications (Preferred):

Knowledge of Health, Safe and Environmental compliance

Knowledge of lean manufacturing & continuous improvement tools

Physical Requirements:

Normal manufacturing working environment - standing, sitting, walking - typically inside a building. Occasional twisting, lifting, bending, and carrying. Some exposure to noise, dirt, chemicals, and temperature variations (while using OSHA relevant PPE). Frequent use of computers. Occasional local travel.
