Registered Massage Therapist

We are looking for a 2200 Hour Registered Massage Therapist to join our mobile team in Calgary, Alberta, as an independent contractor and provide therapeutic massage treatments to our clients in their homes or, occasionally, places of work. This is an opportunity to supplement your existing practice.

Please note: only qualified candidates located in Calgary, AB, Canada (and surrounding communities) will be considered for this job.

The ideal candidate for this position has at least 2 years of experience in the field, using various massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage, with a preference for those who also practice lymphatic drainage, reflexology, and/or FST™ as these are common modality requests.

Qualifications:

You have a reliable vehicle and are comfortable driving in all types of weather.

You have your table and can transport it and your massage supplies in and out of clients' homes.

You are ok with animals, as many clients have pets in their homes.

You are a member in good standing with a massage association and possess a license to practice in Calgary.

You have schedule flexibility and are available on weekdays, some evenings, and some weekends.

The successful candidate will be able to assess the client's needs and provide appropriate treatments that promote therapeutic healing, well-being, and relaxation. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping people feel their best and is committed to providing the highest quality of service.

Responsibilities:

Possess a strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Ability to work independently and in a different location multiple times a day.

Ability to assess the needs of the client and create a treatment plan, tailor the session accordingly, and provide self-care recommendations and rebooking options.

Ability to use a variety of massage techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue, cupping, and, ideally, other modalities.

Ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their needs and preferences.

Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, respecting their home or office space.
