Job Description: We are currently seeking a Temporary Foreign Worker approved under the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) program to join our team as a Forest Survey Technician at GROUPE MACTECH.

This position is integral to our forest management operations, involving fieldwork to collect data, analyze vegetation, and contribute to the development of sustainable forestry practices.

Vegetation Sampling: Identify and measure trees, shrubs, and other vegetation species within designated survey plots.

Record data accurately and efficiently, ensuring quality control and adherence to project guidelines.

Data Analysis: Assist in the analysis of survey data using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software and other analytical tools.

Prepare reports, maps, and presentations summarizing survey findings and recommendations.

Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of survey equipment, supplies, and materials.

Ensure proper care and calibration of equipment to optimize performance and accuracy in the field.

Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks associated with fieldwork.

Adhere to environmental regulations and company policies to promote safe and responsible forestry practices.

Qualifications: LMIA approval for Forest Survey Technician position.

Bachelor's degree or diploma in forestry, environmental science, or related field preferred.

Previous experience in forest surveying, vegetation sampling, or ecological research is an asset.

Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in remote field locations and variable weather conditions.
