Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned Cyber Claims Attorney to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to our organization as cyber threats continue to evolve and increase in complexity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling and managing cyber claims, understanding the intricacies of cyber insurance policies, and providing expert legal advice related to these claims. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities:

1. Handling and managing complex cyber claims from inception through to conclusion, including investigation, evaluation, and negotiation.

2. Analyzing cyber insurance policies, endorsements, and applications to determine coverage issues.

3. Drafting coverage position letters and providing legal advice concerning potential exposures, policy obligations, and claim resolution strategies.

4. Assisting in the development and implementation of claim handling procedures and strategies for cyber risk.

5. Providing legal support to the claims team on complex cyber claims and legal issues arising from the claims handling process.

6. Liaising with insureds, brokers, and other parties involved in the claims process.

7. Keeping up-to-date with developments in cyber law and insurance regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice.

Qualifications:

1. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar.

2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Claims Attorney, specifically in handling cyber claims.

3. In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, cyber claims handling, and drafting legal documents.

4. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear and understandable manner.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on a thorough understanding of the facts and laws involved.

7. The ability to work independently and manage a high volume of cases in a fast-paced environment.

8. A strong commitment to ethical and professional conduct.

9. Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.

10. A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate issues and implement solutions.
