Construction Project Engineer

Job Description

Eastern Excavating Co. is seeking a full time Project Engineer. The company offers a family atmosphere and is established in the Savannah, GA area for 35+ years. Our self-performed services include clearing, demo, grading, asphalt, concrete, underground utilities, and hardscapes for commercial and industrial projects. All work is local to Savannah, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications:

At least 3 years of construction management or related experience

4-year degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.

Ability to read & interpret civil plans and specs

General knowledge of heavy equipment operation is a plus

Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations is a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Position is approximately 50% office and 50% outdoors on jobsites

Opportunity to advance to project manager

Must currently live within commuting distance or being willing to relocate to the Savannah, GA area
