The Donation Support Specialist is responsible for telephone screening to determine suitability for tissue donation, obtaining authorization from family for donation, and completion of medical/social history of deceased patient. The Donation Support Specialist is also responsible for database entry and other office duties necessary to ensure proper processing of donors according to FDA and AATB standards. Working hours are: 4p to midnight - Monday through Friday. Alternating weekends (same shift/work hours) are also required. This allows for flexibility for days off mid-week. Office located in Cordova, TN. Payrate is $20-$22 per hour; based on experience and education.

Qualifications:

Must have a college degree or two years experience working in healthcare. Medical terminology knowledge is preferred. Data entry/transcription experience needed. Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and listening skills because all communication is done over the phone. Candidate should demonstrate confidence in their communication to balance showing compassion to donor families and requesting authorization of musculoskeletal and/or cardiovascular tissues potentially donated.
