What We Do: At Bialek, we are pioneering tomorrow’s workspaces. We are a growing and well-established Woman Owned Rockville, MD based Office Furniture and Interior Modular Construction dealer specializing in commercial, healthcare, government, and higher education environments. With primary manufacturer lines such as MillerKnoll (furniture) and DIRTT (architectural walls), along with 200+ other manufacturers, Bialek creates inspiring workplaces across various industries.

About You: The Architecture & Design Sales Representative will be responsible for growing awareness of Bialek and its capabilities amongst the mid-Atlantic A&D communities. This person will be expected to influence the criteria used by A&D firms for the selection of products for project opportunities. They will work with a team to assist with strategic and tactical issues, and to provide a leadership role on all major new business initiatives as it relates to A&D.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

2- 3 yrs. experience selling contract furniture and/or related products

Calling on local A&D firms

A proven ability to drive the basis of design

Product knowledge and a willingness to learn our primary product lines

Experienced at the consultative sales process

Expert networking and presentation skills

Current memberships in organizations such as IIDA

Strong relationships with the A&D, General Contractor, and Broker communities

Knowledgeable with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Must be skilled in managing all aspects of business utilizing effective time management techniques

Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere ensuring efficiency of projects from start to finish

Able to read and understand floor plans and other related technical drawings

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Possesses good understanding and application of business math

Ability to deal with highly complex sales issues

Must be persistent, responsive, flexible, intelligent, competitive, proactive and confident

BS/BA Degree required

Physical Demands: This position requires long times of sitting and walking. Frequent travel to client sites is required.
