POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Non-Exempt (Hourly)
RATE: $18.00 - $22.00/hour

JOB SUMMARY
The Trimmer is responsible for hand trimming and deburring fabricated composite components using hand tools, band saws, routers, and power tools. The Trimmer follows work order instructions while adhering to customer specifications, quality assurance and safety standards under close supervision.

The Trimmer directly reports to the Program Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
Education, Training, and/or Experience
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in aerospace composite trimming preferred

Frequently sit or stand for extended periods of time
Frequently required to use eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills, and strong manual dexterity
Frequently perform vibratory tasks
Constantly use hands to hold steady, handle, grasp, or feel
Frequently twist, reach to shoulder level; talk and listen
Occasionally walk, squat, kneel or use foot controls
Lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
Hearing level within normal/average range
Environment includes working in the presence of hazardous chemicals, resins, and fiberglass (PPE provided as necessary)
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to use basic hand and pneumatic tools to drill, countersink, fit, rivet, and finish parts
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Trim and debur fabricated composite surfaces using hand and power tools
Inspect work for conformance with company and customer standards, regulations, and safety procedures
Check required dimensions using calipers, micrometers, height gages and other inspection devices
Ensure jigs and equipment are maintained to the correct standard
Work with or in the presence of hazardous chemicals, resins, and fiberglass as required (PPE provided as necessary)
Maintain traceability by ensuring proper and ethical completion of required documentation per AS9100 and QMS requirements
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Attend training to continuously improve skill and performance levels
Other duties as assigned
