Assistant Project Manager – Government Construction
Assistant Project Manager to facilitate the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope.
Required Skills & Experience:
· 4-year college degree
· 2 years of assistant project management of federal government construction projects
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
· Solid organizational skills including time management and prioritization
· Ability to accurately assess and mitigate risk
· Working knowledge of construction principles/processes
· Ability to travel to different job sites within the DC area
· Understanding/proficiency with Microsoft Office
· Ability to read and understand project specifications and engineering drawings
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Knowledge of construction safety and current federal and OSHA requirements
· Current USACE and/or NAVFAC CQM Certification preferred
Responsibilities:
· Assist Project Managers in setting and managing client and design team expectations
· Assist Project Managers in managing the budget and billing throughout the construction process
· Assist Project Managers in negotiating contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders
· Assist Project Managers in ensuring that all aspects of the project are compliant with all contract terms and legal requirements that govern the projectCompany Description
