Job Responsibilities:
Drawing management: Establish and regularly update the drawing register (including the government department approved drawings, the architect or consultants design drawings, shop drawings, etc.). Establish the distribution procedures of construction drawing to subcontractors and project team process. Assign, coordinate and supervise the project coordinator / assistant project coordinator to perform the relevant work
Construction planning: Formulate, submit and regularly update the submission schedules for method statements, shop drawings, construction drawings, samples / materials, Building Department submissions. Assign, coordinate and supervise the project coordinator / assistant project coordinator to perform the relevant work
Documentary records: Organize project coordinator / assistant project coordinator to timely submit the relevant construction documents (including shop drawing, materials, method statement etc.) for architect or other consultant approval or record. Organise and manage material approvals, drawing approvals, materials or construction test reports, survey reports, method statements, calculation approvals, approval letters from government departments. Draft daily correspondence letters. Assign, coordinate and supervise the project coordinator / assistant project coordinator in preparation of the site daily report
Technical Coordination: Coordinate with the architect, consultants and subcontractors to resolve drawings and technical problems/conflicts and prepare proper records. Direct the project coordinator / assistant project coordinator to make technical queries and compile the relevant replies. Establish the procedures of issuing relevant information to subcontractors and project team and effective implementation
Progress planning: Collaborate with the Site Agent / Sub Agent, BS Coordinator/Engineer and develop a monthly / quarterly rolling program, short team program, Statutory Flow Chart. Regularly supervise the subcontractors working schedules. Assist project manager / assistant project manager to develop Master Program. Coordinate and prepare the Main Contractor Progress Report. Arrange and attend the Site Progress Meeting / BS Meeting / Sub-contractor Meeting
Prepare construction materials procurement requirements including types of work, scope of work, quantity, material standards, delivery time and quality requirements in accordance with the progress of the project and quality requirements to complete the procurement
Assist the site agent / sub agent to regularly track the bulk delivery of the material to the site and conduct on-site inspections of incoming materials to ensure compliance with project quality standards
Assist Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager in preparation of subletting schedule
Assist the site agent / sub agent and the project team, to provide technical information to the subcontractors and suppliers and manage their progress
Monitor the wastage of construction and finishing materials. Develop cost-effective method statements
Properly handle the correspondences. Draft, submit and follow-up the request for information (RFI), abortive work records and confirmation of verbal instructions (CVI)
Organize and submit the relevant works records with time and cost implications for future claims
Appoint, coordinate and supervise the project coordinator / assistant project coordinator to draft rectification notice, site memorandum to subcontractor
Work with the Compliance Department to instruct the subcontractors to prepare risk assessment, conduct inspection and conduct self-test in accordance with the overall quality assurance and safety plan
Maintain and update the quality records of the finishing works. Properly prepare for the internal and external audits to avoid or minimize non-compliance. Appoint, coordinate and supervise the project coordinator / assistant project coordinator to perform the relevant work
Monitor and manage finishes working schedule
Perform Technical Competent Person (TCP) responsibility (if applicable)
Conduct inspection with resident consultants and subcontractors. Arrange testing for finishing materials and submit the relevant reports
To review methods statement, shop drawings and conduct factory visits and etc ensuring subcontractor works are comply to the quality standards as specified in the contract document
Attend regular inter-department meetings and follow-up matters arises
Assist the distribution of the latest building legislation or related information and provide technical support to the project coordinator / assistant project coordinator
Liaise with clients, architects, consultants and subcontractors to establish and maintain close working partnerships
Assist clients, architects and consultant to arrange design coordination meetings to review subcontractors' production facilities, samples and finished products
Job Requirement:
Degree or Associateship in Building Studies, Civil/Structural Engineering,
Construction Management or equivalent
At least 6 years’ relevant experiences in building construction with 3 years or more holding a position of PC or above
Professional qualifications such as MHKIE, MAIB, MCIOB, MHKICM or equivalent preferred
