Position Title: Senior Designer

Position Location: 250 Coromar Dr, Goleta, CA 93117 *Hybrid in-office/remote*

Hours: Full time/40 hours

Summary of Duties: Design statement level products that meets category and overall brand creative direction. Develop concepts, sketches, and product ideation for assigned categories against product briefs within deadlines established. Create artwork for new designs to evaluate styling, color, and design combinations. Create cover sketches and technical details for development team to utilize in expediting tech/spec packages. Set style/color direction for projects under Design Leader’s seasonal direction. Contribute as needed to seasonal inspiration planning. Attend seasonal kickoff. Collaborate closely with development and PLM team to design products to meet product briefs at target cost. Schedule meetings with internal team and external partners, supplying agendas, relevant samples and additional materials. Utilize knowledge of current consumer and market trends to interpret those trends into commercial product.

- 25% international travel required.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design, industrial design, fine arts or related field and 7 years of progressive experience in footwear design.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:

5 years of experience working with tooling and molding to build blueprints for midsoles, outsoles, molded footwear, and hardware with Adobe Illustrator and CAD tools; Adobe Illustrator including: manufacturing and construction techniques, footwear material properties, last making, color palette creation and application relevant to seasonal themes; creating and editing mood boards; working with global fashion trends, fashion brands and footwear brands and trends, to produce trend reports; and working in a global organization.

Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.

SALARY: $127,000 - $165,000/year

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
