We provide the option to CNC Machinists on 2nd or 3rd shift to work a 4/10 or 5/8 schedule. Training typically takes place on 1st shift which would include a 5/8 training schedule.

Our 2nd shift premium is 10% and our 3rd shift premium is 15%.

Overtime is optional and not mandatory.

$2,000 Sign-On Bonus.

We currently have openings on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.

CNC Machinist Job Summary:

We are looking for individuals who specialize in either Milling or Turning who can float between various CNC machines within our Machining Department based on their specialization. This individual will perform a series of complex machine operations including setup and programming to meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements. This will involve reading and editing G&M code and performing first piece and in-process quality inspections.

Responsibilities:

Retrieve CNC programs and load to the machine.

Setup, load, and operate CNC machines to produce parts per prints.

Read and edit G&M code and utilize conversational programming.

Setup fixturing and come up with your own set ups on machine.

Perform first piece and in-process quality inspections using the metric system.

Setup cutters in holders and adjust height and length.

Read drawings/prints to identify operations, specification, and tolerances.

Meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements.

Use various hand tools to finish parts and check.

Use measuring devices like micrometers and calipers to ensure specifications are met.

Perform operator maintenance tasks like oiling, greasing, and cleaning the machine (5S).

Use forklift or crane to store and retrieve fixturing and other essential equipment as needed.

Operate other machines in the department as needed.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Looking for at least 3-5 years of CNC experience, but we are willing to train suitable candidates with less experience.

Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls.

Willingness to move between workcenters.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced education or apprenticeship preferred.

The ability to setup and operate multiple axis machines or machines with live tooling is a plus.

Ideal candidate will have experience editing G-Code as well as manual programming or conversational programming.

Ideal candidate will have experience running different grades of material and performing multiple setups per day.

Mazak experience a plus.

You should be proficient in:

Salary info:

$23 - $35 / hr
