The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator is a seasoned professional contributor working under limited supervision responsible for designing, building, deploying, maintaining, consulting, researching, and answering questions related to technical direction and support for Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions at an enterprise level. Implement solutions or component objects; translate and analyze business and user requirements into an optimal technical and business process design. Contribute to the resolution of technical problems and concerns related to the implementation and ongoing maintenance/updating of the enterprise Marketing Cloud platform, which carries a high level of business value and impact. Follow and deliver best practices across all domains used in the CRM and Marketing Cloud solutions at Purdue. Work closely with end users, business partners, and technical teams to provide solutions for business problems and improve existing business intelligence systems. Train end users and business partners. Proactively identify, build, and maintain relationships with business process owners and colleagues and produce quality deliverables on time and within budget.

This is a remote position.

This position has a target salary of $69,100 - $81,685 commensurate with education and experience.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience Needed

Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, communications, computer science, information technology, business, or related field

At least Four (4) – Five (5) years of experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Extensive experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud technical platform including Email Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and Data Extensions. Understanding of Market Cloud best practices and familiarity with Salesforce.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to develop creative solutions

Excellent project management skills with the attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritize work

An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted

Preferred:

One or more Salesforce certifications such as Marketing Cloud Administrator or Marketing Cloud Email Specialist

Understanding of content personalization and basic programming concepts (AMPScript). Experience in Agile methodologies and ability to quickly integrate into a Scrum Team

Skills Needed:

Converting communication plans into comprehensive marketing automation workflows

Applying critical problem solving to deliver custom communication solutions

Ensuring a secure data environment and transmission practices that adhere to university guidelines

Conducting training and cultivating power users among the greater Marketing Cloud users across campus

Working in a highly collaborative environment with professionals in creative/design, data management, analytics, and other marketing related fields

Sound understanding and foundation of general IT development standards and specific Salesforce related methods and best practices

Excellent oral and written technical, communication and interpersonal skills

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment

Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision on daily tasks and projects and to coordinate the work of others

Ability to:

take initiative and follow through to a satisfactory resolution of an issue

explain technology issues and work progress to both technical and non-technical staff

provide support for applications after hours and on weekends as needed

maintain an understanding of trends in CRM information technology, system development, project management, best practices, and methods

Preferred:

Proven technical expertise on Salesforce and related technologies

Experience using Distributed Marketing or Marketing Cloud Intelligence reports
