Process Engineer - Houston, TX 77041

Direct Hire

In-Office

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000.00 annually

Must have strong AUTOCAD

SUMMARY

Determine the operations required for fabrication and assembly of complex products by determining sequence of operations and time estimates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

Determine operations required for fabrication and assembly of complex products by reviewing drawings, specifications, blueprints or other data.

Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.

Coordinate new tooling requirements, modification of existing tooling, fixturing and generation of related drawings.

Work closely with sales and production staff to ensure adequate support of production schedules.

Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.

Estimate production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions.

Generate estimates to include production tooling layouts; generate bill of materials, engineer routing and item masters.

Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

Confer with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.

Supervise a team of Manufacturer engineering to troubleshoot and implement process change implementation via ECN, Kaizen, 5S process.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bilingual - English/Spanish is strongly preferred

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to work in a team environment with initiative and minimum level of supervision. Ability to comply with safety policies. Ability to make appropriate business decisions, handle multiple tasks and to prioritize. Ability to perform at a proficient level in Microsoft Office software programs to include Excel, Word, Access and AutoCAD. Proficient in information systems and e-mail systems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Office environment, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and explosive vapors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
