Industrial Maintenance Technician – Multi-Craft
Chicago south suburbs metals manufacturer is expanding due to an increase in business and is searching for several top notch, Industrial Maintenance Technicians
This facility has a mix of new and old equipment including: brake presses, stamping, ovens, PLC’s, laser cutters, dryers, etc.
These are newly created roles with the intention of growing the department as they expand and install new equipment

Salary range is based on electrical and mechanical experience and education and ranges from $32 - $48 / hr Responsibilities
Meet plant objectives in safety, quality, cost, and customer care
Perform daily / weekly PM’s and run projects to ensure equipment is running properly
Provide efficient troubleshooting and repair equipment to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime
Maintain and repair all equipment in operation which includes electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
Assist with installations as they expandRequirements:
Must have the following:
5+ years of maintenance manufacturing experience; preferably in a metals, stamping, or related high-speed environment
Strong mechanical and electrical skills with an emphasis on multi-craft skills
Experience the following: PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, electric motors, pumps, valves, belts, pulley’s, gearboxes, conveyors, electrical wiring (120/240/480), AC/DC, control voltage, run conduit, pull wires and 3-phase motors
Able to read blueprints and schematics
Self-motivated, positive attitude, energetic, punctual, hard-working, and eager to be part of a good teamPreferred experience:
Manufacturer industry specific knowledge with metal processing
Associates or other technical discipline / related maintenance certifications
Able to troubleshoot and or program PLC’s, read ladder logic
