General Job Description

The purpose of this position is to coordinate the operation of the production department. The duties of this position are those described below.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating all efforts of subordinate supervisory staff.

Follow and direct GMP’s and Safety standards at all times.

Follow and direct company regulations.

Be prepared to perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.

Must possess some computer skills.

Must possess sufficient management skill / experience.

Must be able to effectively communicate in Spanish and English (verbal and written).

Responsible for generating production reports as required

Assures that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures as well as regulatory agency procedures.

Assures that all department personnel are informed of any departmental procedural changes as necessary.

Attends staff meeting as required.

Coordinates the activities of the maintenance department and assures that the equipment is running adequately.

Monitors department to maintain a safe work environment for the department.

Assures all shifts are provided adequate training.

Conduct meetings with Supervisors as well as conducting departmental meetings regarding procedures.

Teach and train personnel as required.

Qualifications

Education:

College degree (desired)

Experience:

Technical experience in processing or packaging of products.
