Wonderful Opportunity for a Medication Aide who wants to work M-F 1st Shift and enjoy their work!

The Medication Aide provides medication administration for participants in assigned area in a timely manner following all policies and procedures of the Medication Administration guidelines and under the direction of a Registered Nurse in accordance with physician’s orders, company and industry standards and federal and state regulations.

Administer medication as directed in the Medication Administration policies and procedures except injections, medication given by g-tube, j-tube or nasogastric tubes and IV medications.

1. Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.

2. Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.

3. Education: High school diploma or equivalent/Preferred Certified Nursing

Assistant (C.N.A). Requirements of C.N.A are current license as Certified

Nursing Assistant in the State of North Carolina required, Cardio

Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.

4. Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in working with the frail or elderly population required.

Minimum of three (3) months work experience in, basic nursing procedures for nursing assistants required. PACE Day Center experience is preferred.
