**JOB TITLE:** Industrial Engineer
**DEPARTMENT:** QA & Raw Materials - Manufacturing Excellence
**LOCATION:** Cambodia
**JOB REPORTS TO (TITLE):** Senior Industrial Engineering Manager
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Continuous Improvement Program**
+ To work under the close guidance and supervision of the IE Manager with relation to the successful implementation of the Carter’s ‘Continuous Improvement Program’ with our internal and external partners
+ Ensure factory processes are always effective and compliant, enabling final product quality that meets the required workmanship, construction, and safety standards.
+ Stabilize and develop the vendor/factory capability, coaching/training them to be productive & quality focused.
+ Provide problem solving solutions on technical, production, quality, and ad hoc issues.
+ Evaluate and train new vendors on process improvements to deliver product consistency.
**Line Balancing Initiatives**
+ Implement and use GSD method analysis to standardize operations and processes.
+ Confirm method of manufacture, highlight, and confer improvement to IE team.
+ Create Manufacturing Excellence / Kaizen / Continuous Improvement opportunities.
+ Improve method by study, Kaizen, and questioning (5 Why’s?)
+ Coordinate training and development of methods with Production and Technical teams
+ Highlight workflow and component placement.
+ Establish working level of Work In Progress - WIP
+ Monitor effective change-over process via KPI.
+ Provide learning curve and ramp up guideline.
+ Control data in all process areas to establish, confer and concur target objectives.
+ Responsible for all performance development & efficiency
+ Monitor process areas for optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials & money.
+ Drive cross-training and skill development to suit requirements.
**REQUIREMENTS**
+ Diploma in Industrial Engineering or its equivalent.
+ General Sewing Data (GSD) Certified Practitioner or its equivalent.
+ Knows & understand how to execute IE tools (quick change over, line balancing, 6S, 7 waste elimination, pull system, garment operation breakdown analysis with SMV, etc.)
+ Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a garment manufacturing industry
+ Be attentive, Strong management and leadership skill
+ Ability to work independently/ in team and work with overseas off-shores.
+ Solid manufacturing experience of knitted/woven, children’s wear is a plus.
+ Good communication skill, proficient English
