LOCATION: Houston, Texas

Hybrid 2 days work from home, 3 days work in office

EMP TYPE: Contract to possible W2, Benefits, paid holidays, PTO

PAY RATE: $73 - $78 / hour (willing to discuss higher for right candidate)

OVERVIEW:

Our clients Information Systems department is seeking a dynamic Enterprise Architect to spearhead the integration and implementation of new applications within our evolving Microsoft foundation. This role offers the unique opportunity to begin as a contractor with the potential for permanent support, directly influencing the technological landscape of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate closely with business partners, project teams, and IT leaders to ensure the architectural vision aligns with strategic and current needs.

Drive the integration of Microsoft-based solutions (Azure / Fabric, Dynamics 365, SharePoint, etc.) alongside other critical applications like GIS, and provide support for transitioning systems and developing new capabilities in EHSM.

Ensure solution scalability and maintainability across complex business and functional applications through effective system integration and architectural strategies.

Lead the development of ecosystem diagrams and architectural visuals, effectively communicating technical concepts to leadership.

Spearhead the evaluation of vendor applications and assist in developing technology application estimates and maintenance plans.

Work towards the continuous improvement of IT governance through the implementation of ITIL frameworks, ensuring SLAs are met and cost/portfolio management is effectively executed.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS:

1. System Integration Expertise: Demonstrated ability in mapping and visualizing new ecosystems and their integrations, ensuring the seamless integration of Microsoft ecosystem components including Azure/Fabric.

2. Microsoft Ecosystem Proficiency: Deep understanding of the Microsoft landscape, including applications, SaaS solutions, Azure, Dynamics 365, SharePoint, and the ability to leverage these tools to meet business needs.

3. Cost/Portfolio Management & ITIL Framework Implementation: Experience in managing IT costs effectively while implementing ITIL frameworks to build and drive governance processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS in Computer Science or other relevant discipline.

Proven experience in enterprise architecture (10+ years), specifically within Microsoft ecosystems.

Strong ability in creating detailed ecosystem drawings and architectural visuals.

Experience liaising with business partners and leading projects from an architectural perspective.

Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with system and solution architects, senior management, and executive levels.

Ability to work collaboratively across multiple technology components, ensuring correctness, consistency, continuity, and efficiency.
