Intro:

As a Principal Business Analyst, you will use Agile software methodologies to identify and capture an accurate case analysis for our client. You will be helping maintain and develop systems and models with your advanced skills.

What You'll Be Doing:

Participates in the collection, evaluation, understanding, and communication of business requirements in support of the development, enhancement, and maintenance of business applications within the AIS Clients Information Services department.

Gains knowledge and completes assignments related to system requirements definition, testing, implementation, and support of business applications or components thereof that meet or exceed the expectations of AIS Clients, employees, and customers.

Assists in soliciting business requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or review of existing system documentation or software.

Gains an understanding of and displays hands on utilization of industry standard analysis techniques and skills to uncover and document business requirements, such as data flow modeling, use-case analysis, and work-flow analysis.

Gains proficiency in documenting the results of analysis activities using assigned templates and tools.

Gains and displays understanding of business processes in the assigned area and their part in AIS' Clients' business model.

Location and Travel Details:

This is a remote position with occasional travel (if needed).

Profile of Success:

This role will be primarily responsible for the collection, evaluation, understanding, and communication of business requirements involved in the development of new or the modification and ongoing support of existing enterprise business applications and departmental business processes.

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years to 8 years Business Analyst experience, ideally working in an Agile Scrum / Kanban environment, including data analysis, uses case development, story writing, and user acceptance testing and product documentation.

Familiarity with techniques and tools used in functional design, data analysis, and data flow diagramming.

Proficiency in tools such as Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and MS Office suite

Documenting analysis and requirements using the appropriate templates and tools – MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint. Also responsible for being a key contributor in the definition of the appropriate templates/tools for the specific activities undertaken.

Working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and business stakeholders to analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement.

Working day-to-day with the technology product teams to refine requirements gathered, remove roadblocks, and gain alignment around features or business processes.

Contributing to testing, training, implementation efforts, and supporting enterprise-wide business applications.

Demonstrable experience with techniques and tools used to elicit requirements, define functional design, perform data analysis, and data flow diagramming used to solve business problems.

Identifying and mitigating risks associated with work efforts – business or application related.

Managing projects of large scope and complexity.

Desirable Skills:

Experience in Workday HCM and/or Learning Management Systems a plus.

certification, Product Owner Certifications.

Working knowledge of Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) and Team Foundation Server (TFS)

Experience in custom application development on the Microsoft technology platform, Microsoft Office, and development tools to create innovative business solutions.
