Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager for DoD R&D Programs will be responsible for the following:

Create a team environment that fosters engagement, encouragement, and empowerment to allow for sharing of ideas and inputs from all team members.

Day-to-day tactical duties for the DoD/OSD R&D programs (including but not limted to SERDP-ESTCP), projects and team. Accountable to oversee results of multi-functional project teams.

Mentorship, professional development guidance, goal development and planning,

Monitor project, performance, and deliverables to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.

Monitor project completion from initiation through delivery to meet revenue, cost projections, contract requirements, and quality assurance.

The success of multiple projects, a function(s) and/or program, aligning activities with company strategy and collaborating to improve current or create new Noblis methodologies, capabilities and/or services.

Determine methods and approaches for projects.

Build and maintain internal and external networks and have an active role in growing existing work, generating new business or new functional offerings, providing integrated solutions to clients and informing relevant stakeholders to appropriate effective levels of detail for topics.

Encourage and develop future leaders of the company and build a culture of accountability.

Provide strategic and advisory support to the Sustainability Center of Excellence (COE)

Required Qualifications:

BS degree and 10 years' experience or MS degree and 8 years' experience or a PhD.

At least 7 years of leadership/management experience including responsibility for tasking/oversight, professional development, and performance of direct reports

Management of a multi-year, multi-deliverable project

Understanding of federal government contracting and project/program management

Strategic planning and implementation

Strong oral and written communications

Technical understanding of environmental science, energy, and R&D programs

US Citizenship is required; the ability to obtain a DoD clearance is required

Desired Qualifications:

Leadership of a multi-tier team (manager of others with direct reports)

Business development and capture experience

PMP preferred

Clearance preferred

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
