Job Title: Machine Operator

Department: Production

Responsibility Level: Entry-Level

Report Line: Reports to Plant Supervisor

Location: Conroe, Texas

Currently seeking a Machine Operator with experience in heavy manufacturing. Responsibilities include setting up, maintaining, and operating machinery to ensure efficient production, filling out hourly reports, inspecting quality mesh, and communicating with supervisors and other team members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up, maintain, and operate machinery to ensure efficient production.

Fill out hourly reports.

Inspect quality mesh for conformance to requirements.

Communicate with supervisors, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.

Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly.

Perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment.

Adhere to state and federal law, Company Quality Program and procedures, Company policies, and Safety and Environmental Regulations.

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements and Skills:

Minimum of 2 years of experience operating manual machines in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines.

Ability to operate a forklift.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.

Adaptability to a changing work environment.

Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra.

Able to lift, carry, pull, and push 50 lbs. unassisted.

Able to squat, stoop, bend at the waist, and turn at the waist to complete functions.

Occasional climbing.

Able to wear required PPE such as steel toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, and hard-hat.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Keen attention to detail to identify maintenance, product or operations issues

Salary: Based on experience
