Job Description

Night Shift/3rd Shift Tank Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

Keeping 3rd shift employees on task

Report to the Plant Manager about any employee being insubordinate

Plans or monitors employees

Contributes to team efforts to accomplish tasks

Survey phosphate lines for any mechanical issues (heating tanks and properly overflowing, mixing)

Make fresh tanks as assigned by the Plant Manager

Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality

Perform minor repairs when necessary (replace steam lines and ball valves, etc.)

Conduct general upkeep procedures (tank cleaning and other tasks as assigned (cleaning coils, filling and heating tanks)

Preventative Maintenance on line

Use of overhead cranes and hoists

Report issues to Plant Manager

Requirements

Reliability

Working with little to no supervision and still finishing tasks

Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods

Working knowledge of stick pumps and cranes

Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime and mandatory overtime when needed

High school diploma or equivalent

Chemical manufacturing environment
