**Automotive Technician - GM Certified**

Key Qualifications:

Minimum Experience: 3+ years as a Service Technician

Preferred Certification: Chevrolet/GM certification

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Certifications:

ASE Certification required

A level qualifications (Diagnostic, Electrical, Engine Repair)

Skills:

Dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination

Mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Strong customer service and basic computer skills

Positive and friendly attitude

Eagerness to learn and improve

Team player with effective collaboration skills

Licensing:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Benefits:

Responsibilities:

Diagnose vehicle issues accurately

Discuss repair needs and options with management or service advisors

Communicate additional service requests to service advisors

Plan and prioritize work in cooperation with the dispatcher

Provide labor time estimates to service advisors

Adhere to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation

Document and complete repair stories for client vehicles

Help mentor and guide technician trainees

Stay updated through company and factory training

Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins

Comply with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal)
