The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) is seeking a talented and committed intern to join the International Programs team this summer. This role provides the opportunity to gain exposure to marketing and event planning for international electric company executives. The dates of this internship are mid-May through mid-August and requires a commitment of 20 - 35 hours per week. Start and end dates are negotiable.
EEI is the trade association for all U.S. investor-owned electric companies. Our office is located in the heart of Penn Quarter, on Pennsylvania Avenue between the U.S. Capitol Building and the White House.
This is a paid internship.
College Students: $20 per hour
Graduate Students: $25 per hour
This is a great opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate student with an interest marketing and/or international affairs.
Responsibilities
Support marketing efforts of International Programs
Make short video clips of recorded event sessions/interviews and edit layered graphic templates for promotional purposes across digital platforms
Assist in creating dynamic PowerPoint presentations
Help keep website and digital platforms up to date
Research international energy industry trends
Provide virtual, hybrid, and in-person event production assistance
Qualifications
Requirements
Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with an interest in Graphic Design, Video Production, Digital Marketing, or related field
Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple work streams, ability to complete tasks on time, self-motivated
Experience in video editing/clipping, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Premiere
Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Microsoft PowerPoint
Excellent organizational skills
Ability and desire to learn and be creative
