Job Description

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Data Engineer for our client in the Financial Services domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Role: Data Engineer

Primary Skills: Oracle Apps Technical

Role Description: The Data Engineer must have at least 5+ years of experience.

The Expertise You Have:

- 5+ years of recent experience as an Oracle Data Engineer, and ETL Developer.

- B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical/engineering field.

- Hands on and in-depth working experience in SQL tuning and Oracle PL/SQL development.

- Working experience with Informatica for ETL, Linux shell scripts, and Autosys is a big plus.

- Interest in writing clean, testable, readable, and easily maintainable code.

- Proven ability in developing Data APIs to support varied application requirements.

- Exposure to GitHub, Jenkins, and UDeploy is desirable.

- Demonstrable experience with data analysis and database design.

- Experience in native AWS services, Snowflake, and Python is preferable.

- Experience working in agile methodology, providing production (L3) support, and working as part of geographically distributed teams is desirable.

- Finance and Investing domain experience will be a plus.

- Knowledgeable about modern data pipelines, data streaming, and messaging technologies.

Must Have:

- Strong Oracle SQL tuning and PL/SQL development (~70%).

- Any ETL tool (Informatica, SSI, Teradata, Snap Logic) (~10%).

- Familiarity with Autosys and/or Control M (scheduling tools).

Nice to Have:

- AWS/EKS.

- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub).

- Python/Snowflake/Apex.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience
