Job Description

As an Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial role in the operational efficiency of our kitchen, focusing on outstanding food quality and presentation. You will assist in leading our kitchen staff, manage inventory, and uphold health and safety standards, all while working closely with front-of-house teams to guarantee exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing and directing kitchen staff operations, including chefs, cooks, and dishwashers.

Support in the development and implementation of training programs for kitchen staff, promoting skill enhancement and compliance.

Help monitor all food preparation, cooking, and presentation processes.

Assist in inventory management, including the procurement of kitchen supplies, ingredients, and equipment, aiming for cost efficiency.

Contribute to enforcing rigorous health and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including maintaining cleanliness and sanitation practices.

Work alongside the management team to assist in menu development and adjustments, taking into account guest feedback and current food trends.

Engage in the implementation of strategies aimed at waste reduction and the promotion of sustainable practices within the kitchen.

Assist in analyzing kitchen operations to pinpoint opportunities for efficiency enhancement and cost reduction.

Address kitchen-related customer complaints and feedback, striving for guest satisfaction.

Facilitate coordination with front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth service flow and tackle any operational issues promptly.Requirements:

Proven experience in a kitchen management or similar role

Strong leadership and organizational skills

Knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary techniques

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
