Sales Director, Cement & LimeJob Purpose and Summary

The Sales Director is responsible for the organization and development of sales for the Company markets located in the United States. The objective will be to produce optimum profitability, identify new markets and need for new products, and expand share of market with existing and new accounts. Additionally, the Sales Director must generate profitability analysis and achieve corporate targets and project viability. This position acts as an interface between RHI Magnesita and customers.

Implement and manage the value creation documents for all sales manager

Maximize (basic, non-basic and installation) sales and market share at all Industrial accounts.

Develop Executive-Plant managers relationships in all key accounts.

Responsible for managing sales managers across NAM.

Pursue opportunities to generate additional revenue for material and services provided or apply those costs to the margin.

Responsible for customer interaction and securing strong relationships between supplier and end-user.

Understand, monitor and take actions related to the political, economic, competitive and production landscape of the customers.

Achieve the determined customer budget; sales volume, turnover, inventory DOH, and margin.

CRM/Customer Database: Maintain customer contacts, call reports, opportunities, market share, competitor's movement updates in the system.

Provide reports detailing customer production details, competitor movements, new projects, and any additional relevant information.

Provide strategic product, performance, production, application and services updates.

Provide constant update of forecast of material and service needs (Rolling Forecast).

Provide accurate forecast and minimize inventory to serve the market.

Monitor all demand cycles (supplier selection, negotiations, purchasing, shipments, outage schedules, installation, performance).

Pursue optimized payment terms and conditions, on time payments.

Coordinate daily activities and schedules for subordinates.

Responsible for developing, growing and providing direct reports with performance feedback

Partner with the Technical Marketing team to create, propose and carry out trials with new material in close cooperation with the customer and optimize the application concepts.

Support customer refractory installation.

Travel requirement including, but not limited to, designated territory. Participation in trade shows, public events, or other social venues as a brand representative of RHI Magnesita.

Must be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented to ensure efficiency in a fast-paced organization.

Complies with RHI Magnesita corporate ethics and cultural standards.Requirements

Business degree of 8 plus years of commercial sales experience

Engineering degree is preferred

5 years of Supervisor/Management experience required

Previous experiences in a customer-driven sales environment is a plus

Have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the commercial sales business as a whole

Use analytical skills to identify opportunities, propose solutions and convert that into business

Well-developed understanding and demonstrated use of modern business computing systems
