Hybrid is a multidisciplinary graphic design studio based in San Francisco. Our focus is on creating engaging design–which includes (but is certainly not limited to): branding, identities, campaign development and strategy, publication design and production, retail and environmental, advertising, digital/websites, and packaging for clients like Nike, Mohawk Paper, Facebook, MOMA, Google, TED, Pinterest, Amazon, The North Face, Steelcase, Stanford, and the United Nations.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking a part-time, Spanish-fluent, Project Manager for a 4-month project contract from 5/20/24 - 9/20/24. A minimum 3-5 years of project management experience in design or creative production is required, large scale direct mail experience is a plus. Humor and teamwork are key to our studio culture. We have a small studio environment with about 15 core members. We are looking for someone who is laid-back but organized, with strong leadership and communication skills, a strong team ethic, a sense of humor, and a self-starter ability to learn quickly and adapt as you go.
About the role:
Kick-off and manage creative production team for large-scale direct mail Spanish versioning, including scheduling creative reviews, implementing feedback, managing copy and proofreading workstreams, tracking proofing revisions, coordinating file delivery to color house, and delivering digital book assets. The role is for a 4-month contract at 5-30 hours per week. The heavier months will be in June and July.
Responsibilities:
Manage team to localize material from English to Spanish for the US market
Manage project to explicit timelines, and budgets
Identifies risks and ensures potential blockers are solved by the larger team
Lead meetings with cross-functional teams, sends meeting follow-up notes
Flag concerns and tension points early and resolve problems expeditiously
Support and reports to lead Project Manager throughout project
Coordinate and communicate activity between designers, clients, vendors, and management
Communicate daily business/project issues, as well as the monitoring, tracking, and reporting on project deliverables to ensure adherence to project plans
Identify resources and/or schedule conflicts and change of project scope
Coordinate the sourcing and onboarding of project resources and vendors as necessary
About the qualifications:
Experience in creative project management is required as well as a solid understanding of the process involved in graphic design work across applications (print, branding, environmental, etc.)
Fluent in both English and Spanish with experience localizing marketing material for Spanish speakers in the US.
Highly organized with careful attention to detail
Experience with large scale direct mail experience preferred but not required
Comfortable keeping cross-functional teams on track; thorough follow-up when needed
Strong organizational and dynamic leadership skills. Experience managing activity in a consulting environment is a plus.
Fluent in Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and comfortable with tools such as Smartsheets, Box, Harvest, and Figma, among other programs. The ability to jump in and learn processes is critical.
Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign required, and managing these files from an organizational standpoint.
Excellence in client interface and customer service.
Confident and experienced in speaking to clients in person and on the phone.
Creative, passionate, and easy-going spirit.
