Job Purpose

We are seeking an Associate level individual to take responsibility for the financial management and reporting of the InfraRed Energy Transition Fund (the “Fund”). The open-ended Fund aims to generate long-term sustainable yield and total return by providing investors with access to a diversified portfolio of sustainable energy projects located predominantly in the U.S. and Canada.

The role encompasses the financial management and reporting in relation to investments. You will work closely with the Fund Management team, Originators and Asset Managers.

Key Job Responsibilities

Ownership of the day-to-day accounting and reporting of InfraRed’s open-ended Fund.

Manage and oversee the external fund administrator to ensure timely and accurate delivery of reporting including the determination of a quarterly NAV.

Responsible for revenue calculations, including management and performance fees.

Assist in the management of the Fund’s treasury functions with tasks that include; capital call preparation, payments of invoices, managing fund liquidity.

Assist in the preparation of 5-year financial forecasts, stress scenarios and annual business plan.

Assist in the preparation of management information to InfraRed’s Infrastructure Leadership team or Management Committee, as required.

Assist in the preparation investor communications including the Investor Report, replying to ad-hoc investor inquiries, and due diligence requests.

Skills and Qualifications

Experienced from a public accounting or fund accounting role is required

Advanced degree and/or CPA are preferable

Educated to a degree level and above in finance, accounting or economics, and able to demonstrate a strong academic record (or equivalent)

Open-ended fund experience preferable

Strong written and oral communication skills

Proficient in Excel and working with detailed Excel models

Good project management skills and ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team

Oriented to problem solving and keen to use personal initiative

Organised and able to multi-task in a time-pressured environment

Good eye for detail with tenacity in chasing and following up ensuring deadlines are met

The base salary range offered for this position is between $100,000 - $130,000 per annum. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
