Security Guard - Full Time Positions Available
Work Shifts Available: Mornings, Evenings and Overnights
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Valid New York State Security Guard License
As a condition of employment, applicants may be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants may be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
Responsibilities
Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter
Monitor and control access at building entrances
Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
Report any suspicious persons, vehicles, packages and/or activities
Immediate response and assist to emergencies and incidents in a calm, problem solving manner
Provide necessary support and contact emergency services when necessary
Write incident reports and log book entries
Protect the client's and company's assets from theft, assault, fire or other safety issues
Ability to work independently and with other team members
Working environments and conditions may vary by client site
Skills
Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
Trained security officer with diploma
Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
Surveillance skills and detail orientation
Integrity and professionalism
Punctuality
Strong verbal and written communication skills
