Position Title: Quality Specialist Reports To: Quality Engineering Manager

Department: Manufacturing Direct Reports (if applicable): N/A

2nd Shift - 2:55pm - 11:10pm

Summary

The Quality Specialist executes actions according plans, to monitor and ensure quality of products. Identifies and reports potential issues to Management. The Quality Specialist must be familiar with a variety of areas, concepts, practices, and procedures related to the plastic injection molding process. They must use proper judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Observe all safety rules/regulations and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner

Perform process audits utilizing control plans and work instruction

Analyze quality control results and provide feedback and interpretation to management or staff

Provide feedback to staff in quality control and analytical procedures

Perform product audits utilizing drawing requirements and calibrated gages

Analyze defective product and defect trends

Supports Quality, Environmental, and Safety objectives

Reliable attendance

Other duties as assigned in Management’s sole discretion

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

High School diploma or equivalent

Ability to follow written and verbal instruction

Must be able to communicate to others, as well as be able to receive communication from others

Ability to multi-task and operate multiple lines

Demonstrate knowledge of safety procedures pertaining to the general operator

Must be willing to work any shift; 8 hours, weekends, and overtime\

Experience with metrology / measurement devices

Experience with the APQP process / PPAP

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing/pulling of parts

May be required to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to lift 45 pounds
