North Park University, a member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, would like to announce that applications are now being accepted for the position of Game Management/Sports Information Graduate Assistant. The assistantship will begin in August 2024 and includes tuition remission, a partial meal plan, a $3,000 stipend per semester, and on-campus housing may be available.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reports to the .

Assist in event coverage of home events (statistics, media, and broadcast).

Perform assorted game-day duties, such as public address announcing, play-by-play broadcasting, and interviewing coaches and student-athletes.

Hire and supervise student-worker staffs, table staffs, and interns for Sports Information.

Write releases and feature articles, edit and design media guides and game programs, maintain historical records, and compile statistics.

Assist with updating the Athletics Department website and social media sites (rosters, schedules, biographies, previews, etc.).

Gain a working knowledge of live video stream of home contests.

Complete other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Athletics/Sports Information Director, Assistant Vice President for Athletics and Sport Management, and Associate Athletic Directors.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree is required.

Applicant must obtain acceptance in a North Park University graduate program.

Applicant must be able to work an untraditional work schedule (i.e. frequent nights and weekends).

A background in StatCrew, NCAA LiveStats and/or Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.

Able to lift and move athletic equipment.

Able to travel with team, by vehicle or plane.

A valid driver’s license is required.

Possess a clear understanding and personal commitment to North Park’s mission of Christian higher education.
