The Quality Assurance Lead role at LogicalDox is pivotal, orchestrating the Quality Assurance strategy across our Application Development team with a keen focus on integration and collaboration. The successful candidate will excel in fostering synergy with development teams. This position rejects the "throw it over the wall" mentality in favor of a comprehensive, from-the-ground-up involvement in QA processes. The ideal candidate will adeptly navigate complex business scenarios to set clear acceptance criteria and devise thorough test plans. This role demands direct involvement in both manual and automated testing practices, as well as ownership over the QA/staging environments. Moreover, the Quality Assurance Lead will lead the assembly and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring clear communication of updates and a cohesive alignment between QA initiatives and development goals.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Fosters a collaborative environment by working closely with the development team from project inception to completion.

Develops best practice QA systems and processes and ensures they are integrated throughout the development lifecycle to identify and address issues early and efficiently.

Develops an overall QA strategy for comprehensive quality assurance that aligns with LogicalDox’s strategic goals, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Takes ownership of the release pipeline, from internal QA to production deployment, providing final sign off and directing the Technical Team on releases.

Leads the development and implementation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) procedures, ensuring thorough testing and validation by end-users and stakeholders.

Develops a deep understanding of project objectives to design acceptance criteria and holistic test plans that ensure alignment with project goals and client expectations.

Oversees the execution of testing strategies, ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust testing practices.

Continuously evaluates and refines QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and adaptability.

Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Advanced degree and/or certifications in Quality Assurance are preferred.

5+ years of experience in a QA leadership role, with significant experience in fostering collaboration between QA and development teams.

Previous experience in a custom software development company is preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.

Exceptional leadership abilities, with experience in leading UAT processes and communicating updates to stakeholders.

Strong ability to integrate QA processes with development activities, promoting a unified approach to quality.

Strong knowledge of both manual and automated testing techniques, tools, and platforms, including proficiency with automated testing tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright.

Direct experience in managing QA/staging environments is essential.

Excellent strategic planning and analytical skills, with a knack for aligning QA strategies with complex business cases.
